16 4 月, 2020 Ara Wagoner 0

Before your OnePlus 8 shows up in all its colorful glory, you need to get yourself a case. Yes, I know the OnePlus 8 comes with a case in the box, but that’s a very basic case that’s only really meant to keep your phone safe until you find a good case with proper protection. There’s some great cases available for the OnePlus 8 — includng some of my favorite case series on the market — so skip the basic in-box case and get you one of these!

Good and grippy

Spigen Liquid Air

$12 at Amazon
$20 at Spgien

I know covering up the colors of the OnePlus 8 is criminal, but sometimes you just need to get a grip more than you need to be wooed by pretty glass. I love the Liquid Air for triangular grid texture it uses, adding a little bit of grip without much bulk or a high price.

Clearly durable

Gmail integration and a grid layout are rolling out to Google Meet soon

16 4 月, 2020 Muhammad Jarir Kanji 0

The Gmail integration is rolling out today, while the new layout will go live sometime this month.

What you need to know

Google Meet is getting a couple of new features.
Starting today, you can join a Meet video call right from Gmail.
Later in the month, the platform will roll out a 16-person grid layout for video calls that’s quite similar to Zoom.

As more people work online, demand for enterprise communication and videoconferencing apps has skyrocketed. And though Zoom has come out as the incidental beneficiary of this uptick, concerns about security and privacy on the platform have left the door wide open for competitors to swoop in and take the limelight away.

As Reuters reports, Google is planning on doing just that with a flurry of new feature updates to Google Meet in the coming months, as millions of institutions turn to the platform to continue operating in the social distancing era.

To start off, it’s rolling out Gmail integration for Meet (which just last week dropp…

16 4 月, 2020 Hayato Huseman 0

Oxygen saturation, often shortened to SpO2, is a measure of the concentration of oxygen in your blood. On numerous Samsung phones, SpO2 can be measured using a series of sensors on the back of the phone in a method called pulse oximetry, which emits and absorbs a light wave through the blood vessels in your fingertip.

Samsung has moved this feature around quite a bit and even removed it entirely on many of its newer phones, but if your device still has the capability to read SpO2, it can be a useful health measurement.

Products used in this guide

Outstanding phone: Samsung Galaxy S10+ ($700 at Amazon)

How to measure oxygen saturation

As mentioned above, Samsung has phased out many of its once-commonplace sensors on newer phones like the Galaxy S20, but older devices like the S10 are still capable of measuring oxygen saturation using the Samsung Health app. It’s a fairly simple process so long as your phone supports it —…
