Lil Nas X, a rapper who is known for pointing out bizarre internet trends, is joining in on the Area 51 “raid” party: On Tuesday, he dropped a new animated “Old Town Road” music video and it reveals a hilarious rescue operation to free aliens at the top secret facility.
The video, which is set at Area 51, pokes fun at a joke Sept. 20 Facebook event, “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” which went viral online last week. It features animated characters of Billy Ray Cyrus, Young Thug, Mason Ramsey, and Lil Nas X storming the classified area and saving some extraterrestrials, Stereogum reported. The video, which is trending on YouTube, has been viewed more than three million times and received more than 270,000 likes so far.
Even though the U.S. Air Force is not thrilled about the mock Area 51 event, Lil Nas X thought the spoof gathering was funny. Over the weekend, a fan created a GoFundMe campaign to get the rapper to play at the hoax operation, and of course, Lil Nas X replied on Twitter, “I got y’all for free. Let’s do this sh*t!”

Now that Lil Nas X is on board, it might be a good time to “see them aliens” on Sept. 20.
