The Nebraska State Patrol recently shared photos on Facebook that appear to show the wreckage of a gruesome highway crash. Do not be alarmed though: The oozing liquid that looks like blood is actually strawberry jelly.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a car hauler and a truck carrying peanut butter and jelly crashed near Chappell, Nebraska, on Interstate 80 on Aug. 18. The photos show the aftermath of the collision, which caused a big mess at the scene, Fox35 Orlando News reported.
“We promise nobody was hurt. That is just jelly,” the Nebraska State Patrol wrote in the post. “Lots of jelly.”
The Facebook post was shared more than 2,000 times and people posted hilarious comments about the “accident.”
“I can just imagine the look on people’s faces as that gets hauled down the road,” one person wrote.
Another said, “Worst traffic jam I’ve seen.”
Someone else replied, “RIP to all the peanut butter and jelly that never got to become sammiches.”
