A “chonky” 26-pound cat is ready for adoption after a viral tweet of the feline captivated many hearts on Twitter.
The cat, which is nicknamed BeeJay or Mr. B, will most likely head to his forever home later this week, according to the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. The refuge narrowed down a list of people who would be good parents for Mr. B and said his adoption should be finalized in a couple of days, Fox 35 News reported.
On Aug. 22, Morris Animal Refuge posted pictures of Mr. B on Twitter, which showed the big kitty posing in the arms of an employee at the refuge. The tweet, which jokingly called Mr. B a “big boi,” received more than 49,000 likes and 14,000 retweets on the social media platform.

“OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK. He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term,” Morris Animal Refuge wrote in the post. “Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Please RT to help this sad-eyed guy find happiness!”
After uploading the tweet, Morris Animal Refuge’s website shut down due to Mr. B’s popularity. The refuge also made Mr. B shirts to raise awareness about animal adoption.
Morris Animal Refuge didn’t disclose who will be adopting Mr. B yet, however, the feline is one step closer to finding his dream home and caretakers.
