Razer jumped into the smartphone arena two years ago with its own gaming-focused Android phone. Now they’re making accessories, and not just for their own devices.
On Tuesday, Razer revealed the Arctech Slim and Arctech Pro cases. You can pick one up to protect your Razer Phone 2 with perfect, first-party fit. Razer is making Arctech cases for iPhones, too. In addition to the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, Razer is making versions for the iPhone X, XS, and XR.

Both The Slim and Pro feature a polycarbonate/elastomer shell and have a microfiber lining. They’ll protect your phone for bumps and scratches. The Pro offers additional drop defense and is rated for falls up to 10 feet.
Sandwiched between the microfiber and polycarbonate is a layer of Thermaphene. It draws heat way from the phone and lets it waft away through perforations in the back of the case.

How well does it work? Razer claims that an Arctech case will keep the temperature of an iPhone up to 6 degrees C cooler than an unspecified competitor’s case.
Over the course of a two-hour test session, the iPhone in the Arctech case never exceeded Apple’s maximum recommended operating temperature. In the non-Razer case it took just 20 minutes to cross that threshold and the temperature never dropped to Apple’s target level for the remainder of test.

Razer has priced the Arctech cases pretty aggressively. The Slim will run you $29.99 while the Pro costs $10 more. Both are offered in black, white (mercury), and pink (quartz) and they won’t prevent you from charging your phone wirelessly.
For Razer fans who are buying an iPhone 11 and crave something with a little more flash, there’s the Arctech Pro THS Edition. It’s $44.99 and adds the familiar Razer logo — in their signature green on the black case and tone-on-tone on the quartz and mercury.
