We’ve had a good idea from early information that Samsung’s Galaxy S11 will use the 108 MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor Samsung co-developed with Xiaomi, along with a 5x periscope zoom camera. But according to information obtained by usually very reliable @Iceuniverse the 108 MP sensor in the Galaxy S11 will be a new one, and not the one slated to be the centerpiece of the upcoming Xiaomi CC9 Pro/Mi Note 10.
It’s unclear what a “new” sensor could entail – a change in the matrix, the processing, perhaps a brighter lens on top of the sensor (although that’s not strictly sensor-related).
