With Android 10, Google replaced Direct Share with the new Sharing Shortcuts API, which allows apps to preload direct share targets.
An internal study conducted by the company found that 50% of users on Android 10 could see the share UI in just 27 milliseconds after tapping on the share option.

OxygenOS Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 7 series will be rolled out next week
OnePlus 7 Pro owners can get it early with the help of the Oxygen Updater app.
What you need to know
OnePlus will begin rolling out the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro next week.
The update adds new “Raise to lower the ringtone” feature and support for transfer of iPhone data through iCloud.
Along with new features, the OxygenOS Beta 4 build for the two phones also includes several optimizations and bug fixes.
OnePlus has announced the latest OxygenOS Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, just two weeks after releasing the OxygenOS Open Beta 3 for the two phones. However, the latest Open Beta 4 build is currently available only for some OnePlus 7 Pro users.
In a post on OnePlus forums, the company said that its team is currently addressing an issue with the build, which is the reason why owners of the OnePlus 7 will have to wait until next week to try it out.

Qualcomm President confirms Snapdragon 855 for the Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL
The Google Pixel 4 series will not feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855+ chipset.

Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon has confirmed in a tweet that Google’s Pixel 4 series smartphones will feature the company’s Snapdragon 855 chipset.
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will be officially unveiled at the ‘Made by Google’ event in New York City later today.
Both smartphones will feature 90Hz AMOLED displays, 6GB of RAM, and dual rear cameras.

Sony challenges future creators to produce short films using the Xperia 1
The students utilized the Xperia 1’s Cinema Pro app to create short films about the following words – KANDO, JOY, or WONDER.
What you need to know
Sony teamed up with San Francisco’s Academy of Arts University for the Sony Xperia Film Fest.
Top 25 entries will be premiered and judged at the Sony Xperia Summer Film Fest on August 14.
The winner will get $10,000 for pursuing future creative efforts.
Sony’s Xperia smartphone brand partnered with the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco last month for a summer film festival. Students from different departments at the Academy of Art University were asked to create a short film lasting no more than five minutes, using Sony’s latest Xperia 1 smartphone.
