Samsung’s 2020 flagships may have an edge over rivals in the camera department.

A report from Bloomberg claims Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S11 and the Galaxy Fold successor will have a 108MP main camera and offer 5x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S11 will reportedly have four camera sensors, along with a time-of-flight sensor for depth detection.

Several leaks that have surfaced online recently suggest the Samsung Galaxy S11 will use a 108MP primary camera and could even offer support for 8K video recording. Like other smartphones launched by HMD Global recently, the Nokia 2.3 has a dedicated Google Assistant button.

What you need to know

Nokia 2.3 is HMD Global’s latest budget Android One smartphone.
It comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup at the back.
The phone has been priced at €109 ($121) and is slated to begin shipping from mid-December.

HMD Global today announced the Nokia 2.3, its latest Android One smartphone aimed at the masses. It runs on the same MediaTek Helio A22 chipset as the Nokia 2.2, but comes with a few notable upgrades in other areas.

The Nokia 2.3 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It has a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Housed within the waterdrop notch on the front of the phone is a 5MP selfie camera with face unlock support.

Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has revealed the design of its upcoming K30 smartphone in a series of new teasers on Weibo.
The teaser images confirm the phone will have a quad camera setup on the back and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
It is set to be officially unveiled in China on December 10.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi today posted several images on Weibo (via XDA Developers) teasing the upcoming K30. As confirmed by the company already, the Redmi K30 will be a 5G-enabled smartphone with dual-mode 5G support. The G8 ThinQ is the first LG smartphone to receive the stable Android 10 update.

What you need to know

The stable Android 10 build for the LG G8 ThinQ has started rolling out.
Currently, the update is only available in LG’s home country of South Korea.
We expect the update to expand to other regions within the next few weeks.

In October, LG announced the Android 10 ‘preview program’ for G8 ThinQ owners in South Korea. Nearly two months after announcing the beta program, the company has now reportedly begun pushing (via GSMArena) the stable Android 10 update for the smartphone. The stable build arrives as software version G820N20c.

A detailed changelog isn’t available yet, but it is likely that the update includes all the new UX 9.0 features that LG had shown off in a video on YouTube last week. The stable update also brings the November 2019 security patch, along with all the features that Android 10 offers. For now, however, the rollout is limited to South Korea.

Huawei’s new MatePad Pro is its first Android tablet with a hole-punch display.
Powered by HiSilicon’s latest flagship Kirin 990 processor, the MatePad Pro is Huawei’s answer to the likes of the iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.
The tablet comes with a 10.8-inch AMOLED display, 13MP rear camera, and quad speakers.

Huawei today took the wraps off (via GSMArena) its latest flagship Android tablet, the MatePad Pro. As its name clearly suggests, the MatePad Pro is an iPad Pro challenger, boasting flagship-grade hardware and an M-Pen stylus.

The tablet has a 10.8-inch AMOLED display panel with 2560 x 1600 resolution and a hole-punch cutout. Under the hood is a Kirin 990 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. You get a single 13MP camera on the back, while the hole-punch cutout on the front houses an 8MP camera for video calls.

The Galaxy S11e may not look very different from the standard Galaxy S11.

What you need to know

CAD-based renders showing the Galaxy S10e successor have surfaced.
Unlike the Galaxy S10e, the Galaxy S11e will have a curved display with a centered hole-punch cutout.
The leaked renders also reveal a camera bump with three sensors.

After giving us our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S11, reliable leaker @OnLeaks has now teamed up with the folks over at Pricebaba to release the first unofficial renders of the Galaxy S11e. The renders suggest the Galaxy S11e will have a completely different design from its predecessor.

As you can see in the CAD-based renders above, the Samsung Galaxy S11e will have a curved display with a centered hole-punch cutout. Thanks to these changes, the Galaxy S11e will have a slightly higher screen-to-body ratio than the S10e. As for the display size, @OnLeaks claims the phone will feature a display measuring 6.2-6.3 inches.

Google may soon enhance the Call Screen feature on Pixel phones to automatically decline robocalls.
Currently, the feature requires the user to initiate it and then select a response.
While the new Call Screen features are currently being tested, there is no word yet on when the feature will be made available to Pixel users.

One of the most useful software features available on the latest Pixel phones is Call Screen, which basically protects you from those annoying robocalls. Huawei also witnessed recovery in Q3 2019, with shipments increasing by 29% compared to the same period last year.
Technology market analyst firm Canalys today released its smartphone market pulse report for the third quarter of 2019. After two years of continuous decline, Canalys says the global smartphone market finally saw an increase in shipments in the July to September period this year.
