Clearing your PlayStation 4 cache is a quick and easy way to help improve performance if for some reason the cached data is slowing down your console or has become corrupted. This can cause games to temporarily freeze and experience loading and connectivity issues. Thankfully if the problem is your cache bogging the system down, it isn’t as dire as it sounds.

How to clear your cache on PS4

Completely turn off your PlayStation 4 console. Do NOT enter Rest Mode.
Wait until the power indicator light on the front of the console stops blinking.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console. It must be disconnected from the console itself, not just the wall outlet.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into your console.
Turn on your PlayStation 4.

What you need to know

Firewatch developer Campo Santo was acquired by Valve in 2018.
Its expected next game, In The Valley of Gods, has been put on hold by Valve.
Campo Santo is focusing on Half-Life: Alyx and other projects for Valve instead.

Campo Santo’s In The Valley of Gods has been put on hold while the former indie developer, now working under Valve, is focusing on other projects for the company. Notably, Valve recently announced Half-Life: Alyx, a dedicated VR game set in the Half-Life universe.

Judging from a statement by Camp Santo founder co-founder Jake Rodkin made to Polygon, Valve’s infamous “work on what you want” culture is true, and much of the In The Valley of Gods team moved to other projects as they saw fit.

You can’t do anything worth mentioning on your PlayStation 4 without first creating a profile. Whether it’s tied to a proper PSN account is up to you, but you’ll still need some sort of profile to access any games on your system. If you happen to have created one too many profiles and want to declutter the sign-in page, it’s easy to delete one (or more) in a few simple steps.

Creating a PS4 profile

There are two different ways to create a new user profile on your PlayStation 4 console.

Turn on your PS4 console.
Select New User.
Select Create a User.

Accept the User Agreement.
If you already have a PSN account, select Skip.
Set up your avatar.
Choose a new name.
Hit Confirm.

The second way can be done while you’re already on your account, and are the same steps you’d follow if you wanted to delete a user.

Go to Settings.
Scroll down to Login Settings.
Select User Management.

Select Create User.
Accept the User Agreement.
If you already have a PSN account, select Skip.

Travel the path of a Padawan.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order features eight different lightsaber colors, but only two are unlocked at the beginning. In order to find the rest, you’ll need to work your way through a significant chunk of the story first. They aren’t missable and are related to a story mission on the planet Ilum, which you cannot access right away. Once you can get to Ilum, though, finding your kyber crystal is a breeze.

Where to find all lightsaber colors

Ilum is a playable location in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but it’s much smaller than the other planets. In Star Wars lore, it’s the location where Jedi younglings complete a rite of passage to harvest a kyber crystal for their lightsaber, becoming one step closer to the rank of Padawan. You’ll need to complete a majority of the game on Kashyyyk and Dathomir before you can visit it.

BD-1 is a useful little droid with the right upgrades. And he’s just cute.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been compared to Metroidvanias for a good reason: it encourages exploration and has tons of hidden areas you’ll need to come back to because you won’t be able to access them yet in the beginning of the game. You’ll notice some of these areas are blocked off by doors that won’t open because you need to repair your Scomp Link first. This can be done early on after you have completed the Zeffo temple.

How to repair your Scomp Link

In order to repair BD-1’s Scomp Link, you’ll first need to have completed the Zeffo temple to unlock Cal’s Force Push ability. At the location marked on the map above, you’ll find a wall of rocks that can only be destroyed with Force Push. Once you’re inside, just follow the path up to the top and you’ll come across a bench that can be used to upgrade BD-1. This is then immediately used to progress to the next area.

It’s surprisingly easy to get if you know where to look.

What was kept a secret up until shortly before launch, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order lets players wield a double-bladed lightsaber. The iconic design first graced theaters in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace thanks to Darth Maul, and ever since it’s become quite a popular weapon among fans.

Luckily, you can acquire it fairly early in the game, and Respawn doesn’t make you jump through too many hoops in order to get it.

After you complete the opening on Bracca and Bogono, you’ll be free to explore a few different planets, one of which being Dathomir, the home of the Nightsisters and Nightbrothers, along with Darth Maul.
