Here’s a look at Crysis Remastered running on Xbox One X with ray tracing mode enabled

Crysis Remastered looks rather nice on Xbox One X.

Crysis Remastered features ray tracing on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, but Digital Foundry shows you how it looks running on the latter.

According to the article and analysis from DF, metal surfaces and glass produce accurate reflections, with RT reflections mapped onto the nanosuit, as seen in the game’s cutscenes.

The article also states that since ray tracing is so GPU-intensive, it is only available on the enhanced consoles. If you select the ray tracing option, the resolution will be brought down to dynamic 1080p.

There are more technical aspects to it, of course, and you can read up on more of it through the link. But better yet, how ray tracing makes the game look and the tech are discussed in the accompanying video.

If you are planning on picking the game up on PC, you should look over the minimum and recommended specs ahead of time. There’s even a “Can it Run Crysis” setting.

The game drops on September 18 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is currently available on Switch.
