With the recent announcement of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, many Legend of Zelda fans are excited for the game’s release. Along with the latest game in the Nintendo franchise, some fans will be able to purchase the game with special bonuses along with it.
On September 8, Nintendo announced the upcoming Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which will be coming out in November. The game will be set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, so players will be able to see more of what Hyrule looked like in its prime as well as learn more about the four Hyrule champions that accompany Zelda and Link on their quest to take down Calamity Ganon.
For fans in Japan, there is a special edition of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity available to them, much like the ones that could be purchased with Breath of the Wild and Link’s Awakening when they were first released. Starting on Friday, fans will be able to pre-order the game with a special “treasure box” as well. The standard physical game costs 7,920 yen in Japan, and this special package will be priced at 16,720 yen. The Age of Calamity “Treasure Box” will include a copy of the game, an acrylic art display, a paraglider-style blanket, and a metal charm.
The special package will available for pre-order on the GameCity website of Koei Temco, the developer behind Hyrule Warriors. At the time this is being written, there are no images of any of the additional products that are apart of the Age of Calamity “Treasure Box,” but pictures may be introduced to the site as it gets closer to the day they can be pre-ordered. There is no news that this special edition will be coming to the West yet, but fans from all over the world would also love to purchase this collection as well and are hoping that Nintendo will bring them good news in this area.
With the sudden announcement of this new Zelda game seemingly out of nowhere, fans of the franchise are left with many questions as to what the game entails. However, Nintendo has said that it will release more Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity news later this month. Maybe one of the things that will disclosed at that time is the Age of Calamity “Treasure Box” package coming to the West, but this is not for certain. All fans can do now is wait and see what happens.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be available on November 20 for Nintendo Switch.
