10 Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Memes That Prove The Game Makes No Sense

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has to be the most popular part of the series among gamers. While that doesn’t mean that the fans care any less for Black Ops and other Call Of Duty games, it just merely indicates how well the Modern Warfare titles have been received. The series not only has a full trilogy, but a new reboot is already released, remakes are being released and the sequel to the reboot is under development.

While a non-player from far away would think COD games are a solid military experience, fans know that these titles are simply fun arcade shooters. In fact, some features of these games are so unbelievable, that even Super Mario would feel realistic in comparison.

10 What Is Aging?

Age is just a number, and so is the amount of times Captain John Price has been featured in the Call of Duty games. Price has to be the most popular part of the Modern Warfare series next to Soap MacTavish and Ghost. But one thing about him is never explained in the games. How is he all over the place and series? Call of Duty 2 takes place during World War II, while Modern Warfare takes place over fifty years after that. Then how can both the games feature Captain Price, in the same looks and demeanor? Is it the same guy? Does he have a similar-looking ancestor? Does he have access to a Lazarus Pit? Guess we’ll never know.

9 Worse Than Betrayal

Ghosts untimely death has to be the biggest turnaround in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The character was super over with fans of the series, with his skull mask and pretty badass personality. This is why when he was shot and killed, nobody believed it actually happened. Some fans were left heartbroken while others just assumed there had to be a catch. However, his death was nothing more than a well-timed plot-twist for gamers. It wasn’t technically logical and keeping the man alive and making him the main character would’ve worked better for the series.

8 Knives Can Be Deadly

Multiplayer is the most popular part of Call of Duty games. And while the game modes and match types are really fun to play, they are highly inaccurate in realism. Then again nobody ever would want a realistic multiplayer in COD, but at least somethings could’ve been a bit more realistic. More specifically, the knives that are apparently more deadly than bullets. It is bizarre how players can survive multiple bullets, but a knife in the knee can end the entire streak. How does that even work?

7 Was It Really Necessary?

Talking about unnecessary deaths here’s the untimely death of Captain Soap MacTavish. In media and storytelling, killing a character for shock value is pretty much overused, to a point that the significance of these moments is lost.

Especially if these characters are the main ones. Killing characters is okay as long as it massively furthers the plot. Here it really does nothing more than making gamers sad and feel unfulfilled by the time they end the game.

6 You Have To Earn It

One really fun part of Call of Duty Multiplayer is the killstreak. With each set of kills, players unlock abilities such as UAV or Airstrike. However, from a realistic point of view, how does that even work? Imagine if this was a realistic military simulation. Would the backup openly deny helping the squad in need? This is how a real Call of Duty styled war would be like, where people will be hiding behind containers calling for backup, which is clearly in the sky. But nope, it is there but needs to be unlocked with ground kills.

5 But How Can You Carry All That?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a lot of things that do not make sense, but here’s something that does not make sense for a lot of other games as well. How can one man carry so much ammo, so many firearms, so many grenades, and knives, and a supermassive rocket launcher? In reality, it would totally blow, because each set of ammo weighs a lot, couple it up with a rocket launcher and its ammo with other items, and the solider will not be able to move, let alone kill someone.

4 Was It Too Late?

Here’s the biggest complaint from a lot of fans of the Call of Duty series, why are the games not going back to the old days. People have wanted a world war COD game for a while, but their requests and demands have been torn apart by Activision.

What is so special about the future? Why are the players forced to double jump, rocket boost, wall run, and become invisible when they can just be happy with a gun that takes 2 seconds to reload after every shot. The world war game did release a few years back, sadly people do not care anymore.

3 But It Has Barely Been A Decade

One thing that totally makes no sense is evolution of Modern Warfare and other games compared to the old ones. It seems like it was yesterday when the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty released to huge applause and love from fans. The game weighed at around 7-12gb. Fast forward to ten years later, we have a single game that needs more storage than the whole platform. And that is not even double, or triple but almost 11 times more space than Xbox 360’s initial model.

2 Worthless A.I Companions

The Call of Duty games are becoming better with time. Every new title looks better than before, the latest one being Modern Warfare. One thing that doesn’t make sense however is even with the visuals and new technology, the A.I companions are probably the worst in any AAA+ game ever. They are completely stupid and can not shoot at enemies or be of any help. Just play any single-player campaign level and see how enemies gang up while your companions shoot right around their heads.

1 Reloading Is Survival

The weirdest yet the most obvious part of playing any Call of Duty game is the reloading. Why are there extended magazine upgrades when the game is completely arcade? A military simulator game would genuinely feel different with and without the magazine. But this is COD, and it doesn’t really do anything. Players will always resort to reloading, even if they shoot one bullet. There’s no depth or need of depth here. The developers should instead focus on making the experience balanced and design better maps.
