Corpse Husband Warns He May Have to Quit Streaming | Game Rant

Corpse Husband managed to become one of the biggest internet personalities in the last quarter of 2020. Many streamers and content creators benefitted from Among Us‘ popularity, but none quite like him. The game gave the unusually deep voice that he’s known for a great deal of exposure, allowing the 23-year-old to rake in 6.58 million followers in just a few months. Since blowing up with Among Us, he’s branched out to other games such as Raft and Phasmophobia with other big content creators.

Unfortunately, Corpse may not have it in him to continue streaming the way he does. The YouTuber revealed that he suffers from chronic illnesses that leave him in constant pain and that streaming aggravates them. He can only stick to playing more lax games because of this, such as the OfflineTV Rust server and the other previously mentioned. However, even this is still taxing because he struggles with light sensitivity, so staring at a screen for more than five minutes damages his eyes.

In one of his most recent streams, Corpse stated that the effects streaming has on his illnesses were getting worse. He needed to end one of his streams early because it caused one of his arms to go numb and his nose to start bleeding. What’s worse, he’s afraid of going out to see doctors for fear that he’ll be recognized over his voice. He hasn’t done a face reveal yet because he’s not comfortable with the idea of being a public figure.

Overall, Corpse doesn’t think he’ll be able to physically continue streaming going into 2021, but he does have a fallback plan should that happen. Before streaming games, Corpse told horror stories on his YouTube channel and created music. He could go back to telling horror stories, but if streaming games doesn’t work out, he really wants to pour himself into his music. He already had a following on Spotify before his YouTube took off, and it’s only grown since then.

In other words, even if Corpse does quit streaming, he won’t be leaving the spotlight for good, just changing platforms. As of this writing, his Spotify has over 1.06 million followers and 3.79 million monthly listeners. His number of social media followers is also exceptional, with 5.1 million spread across Twitter and Instagram. Should he stop streaming, a good percentage of Corpse’s millions of YouTube subs will probably join his Spotify as well if they haven’t already.
