Every Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Playable Character Revealed So Far

The LEGO games have consistently pushed the boundaries of how many playable characters can be available in one game. Almost every time a new game in the series comes out, it boasts more playable characters than the previous game. Properties like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and LEGO Batman have excelled at this, with the former reaching more than 200 playable characters. Now the series is going back to Star Wars, the property that started the LEGO game franchise as we know it, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is shaping up to have the most expansive roster of playable characters that players have ever seen.

The LEGO Star Wars games are no stranger to huge character lists. Previous LEGO Star Wars games have had some pretty hefty rosters, and in past reports it’s been said that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is ultimately going to have around 300 playable characters. Although not much has been revealed about the game, there are still a number of trailers and screenshots that have shown which characters will be playable. Using these as reference, it’s already clear that The Skywalker Saga is going to be one of the most comprehensive LEGO games yet.

The Star Wars prequel films were the first to be adapted into LEGOs when LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game released in 2005. The game would soon become responsible for launching the LEGO series of games as we know it, combining lighthearted humor with intuitive, puzzle-based gameplay. Although the prequel movies have historically been criticized, this game stands out as a stellar piece of prequel era content. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga looks as if it’s going to be heavily revamping the prequel-era missions so that longtime players of the series get to experience them in a whole new way.

One scene in particular that looks to be providing a much different experience in comparison to previous games is the final duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan. When the original LEGO Star Wars came out, it was in conjunction with the release of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. In order to avoid as many spoilers as possible, Traveller’s Tales changed small details of this scene, most notably the portion where the two Jedi fight on the river of lava. Judging from the gameplay trailer for The Skywalker Saga, this sequence is going to be much more cinematic and provide an experience that more closely resembles the film.

  • Qui-Gon Jinn
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan, Jedi Knight, Episode III)
  • Darth Maul
  • Anakin Skywalker (Young, Padawan, Episode III)
  • Mace Windu
  • General Grievous
  • Jango Fett
  • Padme Amidala
  • B1 Battle Droid
  • B2 Super Battle Droid
  • Droideka
  • Clone Trooper (Phase I and Phase II)
  • Yaddle

Coming off the popularity of the first LEGO Star Wars gameLEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy brought gamers to the world of the original three films. The level of humor that developer Traveller’s Tales established with the first game only continued to grow with this installment, and the roster grew along with it. In contrast to the first LEGO Star Wars, The Original Trilogy had the benefit of focusing on movies that came out more than thirty years ago around the time of development. This meant that there was no need to cut certain things out for the sake of spoilers, which kept the game as authentic to the original films as possible.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga looks like it will also be making adjustments to how the levels around these films work so they aren’t retreading old ground. The Death Star trench run scene seems to be the biggest improvement, almost resembling the Rogue Squadron games from back in the day. There have also been adjustments made to scenes like the one where Luke Skywalker gets stuck in the Rancor Pit, as trailers have shown that the big monster can now grab players and throw them around. Whatever Traveller’s Tales has in store for the trilogy, it’ll likely pay tribute to them in the same way that the developer has been doing for years.

  • Luke Skywalker (Tatooine, Dagobah, Bespin, Jedi Knight, Endor)
  • Princess Leia (Alderaan, Hoth)
  • Han Solo (Episode IV, Hoth, Skiff)
  • Chewbacca
  • Lando Calrissian (Bespin, Skiff Disguise)
  • R2-D2
  • C-3PO
  • Yoda
  • Ben Kenobi
  • Wicket W. Warrick
  • Rebel Trooper (Hoth)
  • Darth Vader
  • Emperor Palpatine
  • Stormtrooper
  • Scout Trooper
  • Snowtrooper
  • Greedo
  • Boba Fett
  • Jawa
  • Skiff Guard

The most recent trilogy of films is the most untouched in the LEGO series. There was a whole game dedicated to The Force Awakens, but The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker have yet to immortalized in plastic toy bricks. Although these films are perhaps the most heavily criticized in the entire Star Wars franchise, there is a chance that The Skywalker Saga could fix elements of those films to make them more enjoyable for players. With how lighthearted the LEGO games usually are, it would be no surprise if Traveller’s Tales poked some innocent fun at the inconsistencies in the three films.

  • Rey (Jakku, Ach-To, Yellow Lightsaber)
  • Finn (First Order Disguise, Episode IX)
  • Poe Dameron (Episode IX)
  • Rose Tico (First Order Disguise, Episode IX)
  • Kylo Ren (Unmasked, Scarred)
  • General Leia
  • Luke Skywalker (Ach-To)
  • Lando Calrissian (Episode IX)
  • Jannah
  • C-3PO (Red Arm)
  • BB-8
  • D-O
  • Porg
  • Praetorian Guard

Based on previous reports, there are going to be many more playable characters than what has been revealed thus far. The marketing campaign for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has yet to really begin, but when it does gamers will likely get a better idea of what the roster will look like. The current spring 2021 release window is fast approaching, so ideally more details on the game as a whole will be coming soon. Until then, fans will just have to speculate on what the rest of the playable character list is going to look like.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to release in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
