Destiny 2 Player Creates Incredible Hunter Fan Art | Game Rant

Fan art has become so ubiquitous that in any corner of the Internet there will likely be fan art of a game. With fans more easily able to get their artwork out there, it means there is a greater chance that a piece of art can go viral. Such is the case with a piece of fan art of a Hunter from Destiny 2. While Destiny 2 has seen some impressive fan art over the years, this Hunter piece uses colored pencils only.

Destiny 2 is in the middle of its Season of The Chosen, and many folks say this season has delivered quality content for Destiny fans. With a focus on narrative that has introduced new elements every week, fans are being rewarded for logging in and continuing to play. For a game entering its fourth year, that new content is well received, and the fan base producing art shows there is still a lot of love on both the developer and consumer sides of Destiny 2.

Italian artist, streamer, and cosplayer PsychoLumaca has put together an impressive piece of Hunter art that shows off the Trials armor set from Destiny 1. Describing herself as being “obsessed with Destiny” and a Hunter main to boot, PsychoLumaga’s passion for Bungie’s Destiny series shines through in her piece of fan art done using only colored pencils.

Many fans comment that they were convinced the piece was a screenshot before realizing it was colored pencil art. With the right technique, colored pencils can achieve an incredibly lifelike effect, as seen in another piece of fan art for Horizon: Zero Dawn. PsychoLumaca occasionally streams her drawing process, which should give fans an inside look at how she creates something this incredibly detailed out of colored pencils.

While the Hunter depicted in PsychoLumaga’s art features an armor set from the first game, comments show that people would love to see it in Destiny 2. With Bungie planning to expand Destiny 2 to other media, there are no plans to slow down content any time soon, which could mean that bringing back fan-favorite sets of Hunter armor could be a possibility down the line. There is still a lot of life left in Destiny 2 as the playerbase remains strong, and the fan community shows their love through wonderful pieces of art like this one.
