The Atelier Ryza series has just hit a rather massive milestone, and developer Gust and publisher Koei Tecmo have come together to celebrate with the fans. The Atelier Ryza series has now shipped over one million copies.
The Atelier Ryza series is a Japanese role-playing game franchise. Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy recently released on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and the newest entry into the series is part of the reason the series has seen success in terms of sales numbers, which is why there is a reason to rejoice.
In celebrating one million copies shipped of the Atelier Ryza series, Koei Tecmo is releasing a special DLC costume for both Atelier Ryza and Atelier Ryza 2. As far as what that new costume will be, the team is not ready to share the details quite yet, but the information will apparently be shared at a later date. In the meantime, the Summer Adventure and Divertimento’s Embrace costumes for Atelier Ryza will also be re-releasing on March 31, 2021.
Another great feature that was recently confirmed for the Japanese RPG is cross-save for Atelier Ryza 2. This is something else that is consumer-friendly and certainly helps with sales. It is nice to see developer Gust and publisher Koei Tecmo work together to celebrate milestones and give the fans free content. There is a lot of stiff competition out there, not only in the RPG genre, but across the gaming spectrum. So any type of community-building idea that perhaps even include some free content is quite welcome.
Atelier Ryza 2 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
