There are two Knife Pieces in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, and players that want to assemble the Knife will need to collect them both. Finding these items can prove to be slightly confusing, though, as there is nothing in-game that will point fans in the right direction. It is with that in mind that this guide is being written, and players that read on will learn exactly how to get Knife Piece 2 in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.
Before getting into the location of this item, it is very important mention that it can only be obtained after a player has collected Knife Piece 1 in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. This first piece is accessed by walking into a blue-grey flame in Downpour 2 or Dross 2, in order to transform into the Lost, and then entering the mirror in the area. Indeed, fans will find an item room past this mirror, and the requisite piece is situated within it.
With that established, it now possible to detail how to get Knife Piece 2, and the process begins with a trip to Mines 2 or Ashpit 2. In these areas, The Binding of Isaac players will find a number of yellow button, and they need to press all of them in order to complete a nearby minecart track. Notably, it appears that one of the buttons will always be in the room that contains the minecart, and fans should thus learn its location as they work to press all of the switches.
Once the track has been completed, players should jump into the minecart in order to catch a ride through the blocked door. On the other side of that door, roguelike fans will find a fairly quiet area, which they should navigate through until they reach the room that houses Knife Piece 2. To reach this room, fans will need to clear various obstacles and press buttons to create new platforms, all while trying to evade the enemy’s lunges. While getting through this section can be a bit challenging, players that prepare themselves adequately should ultimately be able to secure Knife Piece 2 and complete the Knife in this new The Binding of Isaac DLC.
