The global pandemic has forced developers to adapt their work pipelines and finish games from home. This has led to multiple delays.

This year began with a slew of high-profile game delays, most notably Cyberpunk 2077 and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but then COVID-19 struck and and threw the games industry through a loop. We’ve compiled a list of every game that’s been delayed into 2020 and beyond. Some of these games have been delayed indefinitely while others have release windows or a final release date.

Sony is gearing up to release the PS5, its most ambitious console to date.

While development on the PS5 has likely been going on for years, Sony has officially confirmed that it’s in the works and is on its way this year. It is expected to release holiday 2020 alongside the Xbox Series X, cost upwards of $450 or $500, and should be fully revealed sometime soon over the summer. Here’s everything we know about the PS5 so far.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla received a developer walkthrough with a new look at the Black Shuck.

During the Future Games Show as part of Gamescom 2020, Ubisoft released a new developer walkthrough of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This video gave us a look at some of the myths that pervaded the time such as the Black Shuck, a large ghostly wolf in English folklore that was said to roam East Anglia.

Fall Guys Season 2 will be medieval themed.

During Gamescom Opening Light Live, Mediatonic gave us a tease of the upcoming season of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. The game, which has taken the internet by storm since its release earlier this month, will be receiving new rounds and costumes with a medieval theme. I have to say, I’m looking forward to see all of the wizards and dragons running around.

The new levels were detailed, but we can get a good idea of what we’ll be doing based on the short gameplay shown. Like before, it looks to be a mix of obstacle courses, team games, races, and last man standing rounds for the crown.

What you need to know

PlayStation has set up a website where people can register to be one of the first to preorder a PS5.
You must have an existing PlayStation Network account and register with your PSN ID.
We still do not know how much the PS5 will cost, which is set to release this holiday.

It looks like PlayStation has made a page on its website where players can register to be one of the first to preorder a PS5 directly from Sony. This comes a month after it was discovered that PS5 preorders may be limited to one per household by Sony, according to source code discovered on its website. This has since been confirmed in its PS5 preorder FAQ, with the wording stating that it will be limited to 1 “per PSN ID.”

There will be a limited quantity of PS5 consoles available for pre-order, so we will be inviting some of our existing consumers to be one of the first to pre-order one from PlayStatio…
