How to refund a game on PS4

9 6 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 0

When it comes to getting a refund for a digital game on PlayStation 4, your mileage may vary. Technically, you won’t be given a refund on a digital game that you’ve already downloaded or played unless the content is faulty. This is usually up to PlayStation Support’s discretion — and whether or not the game is riddled with bugs. Still, if you’ve purchased a game and find that you don’t want it, you have up to 14 days to request a refund. Because Sony practically sends you in circles trying to figure out how and where to request a refund — redirecting you to the same pages over and over — we’ve figured out a quick way to do it.

How to request a refund on a PS4 game

Go to support.playstation.com/s/contact-support.
Have your information ready, including your PSN ID, email address associated with the account, date of birth, and the name of the game you’d like refunded.

In the window that opens up, select Request A Refund.
Another page will pop up. Do not select any of the link…

The PS5 looks to be packing an SSD and will support ray tracing

1 6 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 0

The PlayStation 5 is shaping up to be an incredibly powerful console the likes of which we have never seen before.

Sony’s next-generation console, likely to be named the PlayStation 5, is far from gracing store shelves, but the company has revealed a few of its specs to give fans a taste of just how powerful it will be. We’re hoping to learn more as we head deeper into 2020, but for now, the presumed PS5 is looking like quite the machine, in comparison to both the current crop of consoles and the next generation Xbox also in the works right now.

PS5 specs & how does it compare to the PS4 Pro?

It should go without saying, but the PS5 will be drastically more powerful than any model in the PS4 family, including the PS4 Pro.

Playing online multiplayer on PS4 is a breeze

27 5 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 1

Online multiplayer on PlayStation 4 usually requires two things: a stable internet connection and a PlayStation Plus membership. If you don’t have both, you probably won’t be able to play online games with your friends. There are two exceptions: free-to-play games, like Fortnite, don’t require you to need PlayStation Plus to play online multiplayer. You’ll also be able to play any multiplayer games included with PlayStation Now when you’re signed up for that service, even if you don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Online membership: PlayStation Plus 12-month ($60 at Amazon)

You should use two-factor everywhere, and your PS4 is no exception!

26 5 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 0

In a world where even gaming networks are being targeted and compromised by nefarious characters, it never hurts to add an extra layer of protection to our accounts wherever we are able. Two-factor authentication requires you to use a secondary key when logging into your account — so even if someone gets your password, they still can’t get into your account easily — and since PlayStation supports Two-Step Verification, you should absolutely use it on your PS4!

How to set up Two-Step Verification on your PlayStation 4

From the dashboard of your PS4, select Settings.
Scroll down and select Account Management.

From the Account Management page, select Account Information.
Select Security.
Scroll down and select 2-Step Verification.

Select Set Up Now.

On the first Set Up page, enter the cell phone number where you want to receive texts.
Select Add.

A test SMS message with a verification code will be sent to your cell phone. Enter your two-factor code.
Select Activate.

We should be learning about the PS5 and its launch games very soon

26 5 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 0

With E3 out of the picture, Sony looks to do its own thing.

There’s been a rumored PlayStation 5 reveal event set to take place every month this year, and while nothing has materialized yet, that is set to change. According to VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, PlayStation allegedly plans to hold an event in early June. His sources indicated that the event was originally planned for June 4, but that appears to have changed by a matter of days.

This event is expected to showcase a variety of PS5 launch games, from both first-party and third-party developers. There is speculation that Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will be one of the titles shown, but this has not been confirmed. It’s unclear whether Sony will choose to finally show off the PS5 design at this time.

Regardless of whether this event actually happens in early June or not, it has to happen sooner rather than later. By all accounts, the PlayStation 5 is still on track for a holiday 2020 release alongside Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, the latte…

Everything you need to know about Arkane’s Deathloop

22 5 月, 2020 Jennifer Locke 0

Die, die, and die again.

It’s not Dishonored 3 or Prey 2, but a new IP is always welcome. On Bethesda’s stage at E3 2019, Arkane Studios introduced Deathloop to the world. It looks awesome and trippy in all the right ways, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.

What is Deathloop?

Deathloop is a new IP developed by Arkane Studios. According to the studio, it will be a 1st-person action game that follows two assassins on an island who are hunting each other down. As the name suggests, our two characters appear to be stuck in a time loop, much like the movie Edge of Tomorrow — or Live. Die. Repeat., as the film was retroactively named.

Deathloop Developed by Arkane Studios

If you’re unfamiliar with the name Arkane Studios, you may be familiar with their work. Arkane created the action/stealth series Dishonored and successfully rebooted Prey a couple of years ago. The type of games that Arkane ends up creating are many times labelled as immersive sims. These tend to focus o…
